We are looking for an Accounting Assistant to support a part-time, onsite opportunity in Atlanta, Georgia. This is a Long-term Contract position expected to begin as a 2-3 month ongoing engagement, with the potential to provide continued support as accounting operations expand. The role is ideal for someone who can strengthen day-to-day accounts payable and accounts receivable activities while helping establish practical banking and payment procedures. You will work closely with the accounting team to bring structure to financial workflows and maintain accurate transaction processing in a developing environment.

Responsibilities:
• Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable tasks, including invoice handling, payment tracking, and customer-related transaction support.
• Set up new clients and customer records within banking platforms and ensure account information is entered accurately.
• Administer payment activity through banking portals and support the day-to-day use of electronic payment tools.
• Help design and document procedures for payable, receivable, and banking operations to improve consistency and control.
• Process and code invoices while maintaining organized records and supporting timely approvals and disbursements.
• Assist with bank reconciliations and monitor financial transactions to identify and resolve discrepancies.
• Work within Sage Cloud and other accounting systems to maintain reliable financial data and support reporting needs.
• Provide hands-on support as the accounting team builds out new workflows related to accrual-based processes and payment management.
• Collaborate with internal stakeholders to implement practical AP, AR, and banking procedures that align with operational needs.• Experience supporting accounts payable and accounts receivable functions in an accounting environment.
• Ability to work directly in banking portals, including setting up new clients or customers and managing payment activity.
• Familiarity with invoice coding, payment processing, and maintaining accurate transaction records.
• Working knowledge of bank reconciliations and general accounting support tasks.
• Experience using accounting software such as Sage Cloud or QuickBooks.
• Basic Excel skills for routine tracking and data entry; advanced formulas and pivot tables are not required.
• Comfortable helping establish procedures and workflows rather than only processing existing transactions.
• Availability to work onsite in Atlanta, Georgia on a part-time schedule of 25 hours per week, Monday through Friday.
