Artisan Creative is looking for a talented Sportswear Designer to join a dynamic apparel team in Beverly Hills. This role focuses on designing and developing seasonal sportswear collections that balance trends, performance, style, and commercial goals.This position is based in Beverly Hills, CA, and requires the successful candidate to be in the office four days a week and 1 day off‑site. Our client is an established global apparel company with a portfolio of proprietary and licensed brands sold through major retailers, big-box stores, specialty boutiques, and wholesale channels. The ideal candidate brings strong sportswear or lifestyle apparel experience, a solid understanding of technical fabrics and garment construction, and the ability to take designs from concept through final product. Your Expertise Sportswear Design: Develop seasonal collections from initial concepts and sketches through CADs, technical packages, and final product. Trend & Market Research: Research consumer behavior, market trends, competitive landscapes, materials, colors, and emerging sportswear trends. Technical Design: Strong understanding of garment construction, technical fabrics, trims, fit, and functionality. CAD & Design Tools: Proficiency in Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, and other apparel design tools. PLM: Experience working with PLM systems is required; Centric PLM experience is a plus. Materials & Innovation: Collaborate on performance fabrics, trims, construction techniques, and sustainable materials. Commercial Design: Balance creative direction with commercial viability across different price points and distribution channels. Your Responsibilities Design and develop seasonal sportswear collections, including concepts, sketches, CADs, and technical design packages. Research market trends, consumer behavior, competitors, fabrics, and materials to develop relevant and forward-thinking designs. Create storyboards, color palettes, design concepts, and presentation materials for internal and external meetings. Collaborate with Merchandising, Product Development, Technical Design, Sales, and other cross-functional teams throughout the product development process. Partner with fabric and trim teams to identify innovative and performance-driven materials. Attend fittings and collaborate with Technical Design to refine fit, function, construction, and overall aesthetic. Maintain design intent from initial concept through final product.
