About the Role
The Company is seeking a VP, US Cash Equities Risk Manager to join their global team. The successful candidate will be responsible for the second-line oversight of the US Cash Equities business, ensuring that all associated risks are identified, understood, captured, reported, and managed within the established risk appetite. This role requires a professional with a strong background in market risk management, particularly in the areas of cash equities, convertibles, and securities finance. The VP will work closely with the business and second-line partners, and must have a deep understanding of the regulatory and governance environment as it pertains to risk management. Key responsibilities for the VP, US Cash Equities Risk Manager include monitoring and challenging daily risk metrics, reviewing large and complex transactions, and ensuring the accuracy and quality of risk reporting. The role also involves updating and enhancing the risk management framework, as well as preparing materials for various risk committees and governance forums. The ideal candidate should have a degree in a quantitative or related discipline, a minimum of 5 years' relevant experience, and a proven track record of effective communication and collaboration with both traders and senior management. Proficiency in risk analytics tools such as SQL, Python, VBA, Power BI, and Bloomberg is preferred.
