About the Role
The Company is seeking a Risk Manager for US Equity Derivatives and Structured Products. The successful candidate will be part of a global team and will be responsible for the second-line oversight of US Equity Derivatives, including flow derivatives and structured equity products. This role is pivotal in ensuring that all risks associated with these financial instruments are identified, understood, captured, reported, and managed within the company's risk appetite. The Risk Manager will work in close partnership with the business and second-line partners, and will be expected to have a strong understanding of the regulatory and governance environment across risk management, particularly as it relates to market, credit, and operational risks. Applicants for this role at the company should have a degree in a quantitative discipline and a minimum of 5 years' of relevant experience in equity derivatives, structured equity products, market risk management, or related capital markets functions. The role requires a deep understanding of various financial instruments and their associated risks, as well as experience in monitoring and challenging daily risk metrics. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of working with a range of stakeholders, from traders to senior management, and possess strong communication, planning, and project management skills. Proficiency in risk analytics tools and programming languages such as SQL, Python, and VBA is preferred. The Risk Manager will also be involved in the review of new business initiatives, and trading strategy changes, and will be expected to prepare materials for risk committees and senior management discussions.
