Camp Host Wage: $17/hr Department: General Administration Status: Part time, Non-Exempt Overview: The Camp Host collaborates with and assists the Registration Manager in championing the overall guest experience as well as the daily operation of the front office and check-in station within Thousand Pines ministries. Essential Functions Collaborates with Registration in the orchestration of guest events Helps in the daily operation of TP Base/Front Office Fosters strong and healthy relationships with group leaders and guests, while representing Thousand Pines. Comprehensive oversight and execution of guest events from check-in through to final checkout. Follow-up with group leaders during their retreat to ensure exceptional guest experience. Additional Functions Keeps a constant record and thorough log of information including highlights, shortcomings, and other details pertaining to each event and group for interdepartmental communication and necessary follow-up Assists Registration Manager and Director on Duty in coordination and management of TP Base/ Front office functions (phones, evaluations, mail, office communications, TP Base Radio, etc.) Other duties as assigned by supervisor Major Competency Areas Godly, Christian character, integrity, and adaptability Excellent people skills: positive attitude, engaging personality, able to successfully manage difficult, negative, or high-stress situations with grace and professionalism Excellent communication skills: verbal and written Excellent organizational skills: scheduling, multi-tasking, prioritizing, and strong attention to detail Highly motivated self-starter: taking initiative to create an excellent guest experience Qualifications Christian camping or other ministry experience Thorough working knowledge of Thousand Pines' facilities, procedures, events, calendars, and rate schedules Minimum of high-school diploma, higher education preferred in Business, Marketing, or Christian Ministry Administrative and computer skills including Outlook, Word, Excel, CampDoc, and Sales Force Agreement and compliance with camp Mission, Vision, Values, Staff Handbook, and Doctrinal Statement Valid California Drivers' license Physical Requirements Abilities sufficient to carry out the essential functions of the job to include leaning, bending, stooping, reaching, pulling, pushing, squatting, lifting, carrying, holding, and moving heavy objects Able to sit, stand, or walk for extended periods of time Must be able to lift, hold, and carry a minimum of 50 pounds TM Camping Statement of Faith The Statement Of Faith outlines the beliefs of TM Camping.
